The Fullcontact karate world of Europe is preparing for a big and very important challenge.
In spite of all problems and complications concerning the Corona-virus in the European countries, on June 26 – 27, the European Adults Championship 2021 will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia.
This is a huge undertaking. Therefore, we are very happy that the organization of the tournament is in the experienced hands of the Georgian Fullcontact Karate National Federation. President Shihan Avtandil Shengelia – WKO Branch Chief, Mr. Anzor Chubinidze – Head of Organizing Committee and Irakli Dolaberidze – Country Representative and their strong team of assistants have proen in the past that they are very capable of organizing very prestigious events, in agreement and with the full provision, support and requirements of the Ministry of Sports and relevant government agencies. The European Championship tournament is not only important in itself; it is also rated as a qualification tournament for the 2022 World Karate Championship to be held in Poland.
The President of EKO and all board members, strongly encourage everybody who is capable, to take part and/or contribute tot his this tournament.
This a great challenge for all of us, maybe the greatest in the history of full contact karate. While facing a worldwide crisis, there is a possibility to show how strong we are as an full contact, budo karate organization.
We hope and pray – and expect – that we, all together, can make this exceptional European tournament a success. If we do, we will create history. However hard it may be: this feels like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
And even if the tournament can not take place, due to a force of majority, it will be great to try to achieve this goal.
In all, we encourage you all to keep on training, keep your sights on the future. Karate will support you in this. And never forget: we are all a member of the full contact karate family.
Osu!
